Chairman Michael P. W. Lewis spoke for the bill at a Senate Committee on Wednesday, January 20th. The Senate Committee on State and Local Government passed senate bill 53 to the General Assembly for a floor vote (10-1-1, yes-no-pass). The bill was up for discussion and vote in the Kentucky General Assembly: Regular Session on Thursday, January 28th. There was strong opposition from Senator Julian Carroll towards SB 53.
